Our last few days

Under a week to go and have hit Ho Chi Minh City.  It happens to be the time they celebrate Tet (Luna New Year).  On the positive side that has meant we've been able to join the celebrations.  On the other hand lots of shops and sites are now shut for the next 5 days.  Have managed to arrange a tour of the Viet Cong tunnels from the war and will spend tomorrow at the big water park just out of the city.  I'm sure we'll find lots more to do.  Off now to find something eat.  Great street food here!

What's up?

Tomorrow is our last day in Hoi An before catching the over night train down the coast for a few days of beach time.  We plan to hit Ho Chi Min City on the 30th just before the start of Tet celebrations (Vietnam New Years!).  Loving Vietnam especially the street food.

Plans for the next few days

We are back in Hanoi now and will spend our last day looking around the old city, and food sampling, before heading to Hoi An by train over night.  We plan to stay in Hoi An for the next 5-6 days.  Good chance to relax after the busy but fascinating big city.  Meg's keen to check out the local tailors.  Hope all's well back home and the weather is on the improve.

Break Dancing Laos Style

These guys came on at the end of a Ethnic fashion show we went to in Laos.  I thought the Howie boys would enjoy the video

Travel Update

Have been enjoying Hanoi for the past few days.  Very, very busy city but we are starting to get used to crossing roads and dodging scooters.  Yesterday we walked around the old city and went to the Water Puppets show.  Ed, Beth and Meg also indulged in shopping for cheap footwear and we are all loving the street food.  Today we have gone to see Ho Chi Min's tomb and the revolutionary museum.  Tomorrow we are off to Ha Long Bay for a couple of days on a boat cruise, then back to Hanoi for a night and day and off to Hoi An overnight on the train.  Right I'm off to find someone to give me a haircut.
